    1. Suggested ratio will be mixing 5 drops of tea tree oil with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. But don’t apply undiluted tea tree oil on the skin as it causes burning sensation and also mix this only when the coconut oil is completely melted.

      1. While pregnant I can’t eat garlic for whatever reason. So I tend to get yeast infections while pregnant. I take a spray bottle with water and tea tree oil and keep it in my shower. Every shower I spray down below. It helps prevent yeast infections. I hadn’t gotten one since. I used it all thru my first pregnancy, after I gave birth, and during my second. It’s also great during breastfeeding. I spray it on my nipples while in the shower. It was the only thing to get rid of thrush when my daughter gave it to me in my nipples. I used it straight out of the bottle for that. But if you have sensitive skin I suggest mixing it with coconut oil before applying. None of the medicine the Dr gave me would help. And you don’t have to wash it off before breastfeeding which I also loved. I did so much research on how to get rid of Thrush and I tried pretty much everything and nothing worked like this. And I couldn’t find anywhere that anyone else had used it this way. But I figured I’d give it a try since it works so well for everything else. Tea tree oil is a must have for our family. Hope my story helps someone.

  1. Can you tell me what is the remedy should i follow to cure redness of both out side of potty area for my one month baby

  2. How long does it take for the coconut oil to dry? I don’t want to leave my baby bare in the cold winter months for too long.

    1. It depends on the amount of coconut oil you have applied. On an average, our skin absorbs coconut oil within 15 minutes of application.

  3. Can I use fresh turmeric organic soaked in olive or raw organic coconut oil on a nappy rash on her poo area ? She is 17 months old

    1. Yes, you can. Some children are allergic to turmeric. If the application is causing discomfort to her, then avoid using turmeric.

  4. What ratio of lavender oil and chamomile oil would you add to coconut oil for a eczema/nappy rash lotion? Would you use different ratios for the Under 6 month old and Over 6 month old?

    1. You can add a drop of each lavender oil and chamomile oil into 8 drops of coconut oil. This ratio is applicable for kids more than 6 months. Essential oils should not be applied to infants under 3 months of age. If your kid is 3+, then you have to increase the amount of coconut oil to one ounce i.e., 1 drop each of lavender and chamomile oil should be added to 1 ounce of coconut oil.

    1. Apply small amounts of coconut oil and let it dry completely. Repeat the application few times in a day until the rashes clear.

  5. My baby is 5 months old and I don’t want to leave her diaper off too long because she could use it again, so my question is can the coconut oil be applied while wet? Also how dry will coconut oil get?

    1. Coconut oil can also be applied on the wet skin. Coconut oil will not get dried up, it will be absorbed by the skin.

    1. It is hard to tell the exact time frame as it usually depends on the skin texture, healing capacity and other factors. So, we recommend trying the remedy regularly until you get relief.
