  • OR 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in a cup of warm water

Process:

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of dried mustard with 4 tablespoons of flour.
  • Mix with enough hot water to create a runny paste.
  • Apply olive oil to your chest and cover with a clean cloth.
  • Apply paste to cloth and cover with another cloth.

9. Mullein Tea

Process:

  • Boil a cup of water and stir in 2 teaspoons of dried mullein leaves.
  • Remove from heat and let steep 10 minutes.
  • Strain and drink.
  • Repeat 3 times a day.

10. Onions

Onions are a naturally potent expectorant that breaks up and clears away mucus.

Process:

  • Eat onions regularly.
  • Or drink 1 teaspoon of raw onion juice every morning on an empty stomach.

 11. Humidifier

Using a humidifier at night will help sooth irritated bronchial membranes and clear away excess mucus. If you don’t have a humidifier, inhale steam from boiling water or take long, hot showers.
