3. Oatmeal and Almonds

Process 1:

Lemon juice detoxifies skin to prevent breakouts that cause scarring, and the proteins in almonds nourish and soften skin.

  • Use a blender to grind 2 tablespoons oatmeal into powder.
  • Add 1 teaspoon baking soda and enough water to make a thick paste.

  • Brew a cup of chamomile Tea

Process 3:

Orange peel deep cleans your pores, removes dirt, oil, grime and bacteria that are responsible for uneven skin tone.

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of orange peel powder, 1 teaspoon each of oatmeal and baking soda.
  • Slowly add and stir well until a thick paste is formed.
  • Massage the thick paste over the skin in circular motion for few minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, rinse off with cold water.
  • Follow this process 2 – 3 times a week.

16. Oatmeal with Vinegar and Lemon Juice

  • Mix 3 tablespoons oatmeal, ¼ cup warm water, and 1 teaspoon each of white wine vinegar and lemon juice.
  • Apply to discolored skin, massaging in circles for 1 minute.
  • After 5 minutes, rinse off with water.
  • Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
  • Repeat once every other week.
  • Note: Do not leave this pack over the skin for more than 5 minutes.
  • For added benefits, add 1 teaspoon honey.

17. Oatmeal with Bentonite Clay and Tea Tree Oil

  • Mix 1 teaspoon oatmeal, ½ teaspoon tea tree oil, and 1 tablespoon each of calcium bentonite clay and water.
  • Apply to discolored skin and leave on until dry.
  • Rinse with warm water followed by cold water and pat dry.
  • Repeat once a week.
  • You may notice redness after rinsing, but it will go away in ½ an hour. It is better to patch test to check if the mixture suits you or not.

18. Oatmeal with Cinnamon and Rosemary

  • In a blender, combine 1 cup oatmeal, 1 teaspoon ground rosemary, a dash of ground cinnamon, and 1 cup milk to make a thick paste.
  • Apply to discolored skin, massaging in circles for 1 minute, and leave on until dry.
  • Rinse with warm water followed by cold water and pat dry.
  • Store in refrigerator in airtight container and use once every other day.
  • Note: For oily skin prefer water and for dry skin prefer milk cream instead of milk.

19. Oatmeal with Fuller’s Earth

  • Mix equal quantities of oatmeal and Fuller’s earth.
  • Add water and stir well to make a thick paste.
  • Apply to discolored skin and leave on for 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Rinse with cold water and pat dry.
  • Apple moisturizer of your choice.
  • Repeat once a week,
  • Note: Add 1 teaspoon olive oil if skin becomes too dry.

20. Oatmeal and Sour Curd

  • Soak 1 cup of oatmeal overnight.
  • In the morning, grind them to a paste and combine sour curd.
  • Apply this pack to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse off with water.
  • Follow this process 2 – 3 times a week to achieve best results.

21. Oatmeal with Turmeric

  • Grind oatmeal into powder.
  • Combine 1 tablespoon oatmeal powder, 1 teaspoon turmeric and enough amounts of water to make a thick paste.
  • Apply this paste over the skin and let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with water.
  • Use this pack 2 times a week to get rid of uneven skin tone.
  • Or you can also add milk or lemon juice instead of water and follow the same process.

Tips and Precautions:

For best results, follow the advice below when using oatmeal to lighten discolored skin.

  • Massage gently to avoid further skin damage.
  • To prevent sagging and wrinkles, use upward and circular strokes when massaging skin, especially on the face.
  • Always let heated solutions cool at least to room temperature before use to avoid burns.
