Skin whitening, skin lightening

Do you feel that you have lost that youthful glow and bright skin? It is usually because of the pollution, stress, poor diet, aging, sun damage and other skin conditions.

The above factors can lead to an increase in the melanin production which eventually darkens the skin tone. We always rely on expensive skin whitening products and invest tons of money in them.

The harmful chemicals like parabens, lanolin, BHA, and BHT present in them actually worsen the skin in the long run. Although they apparently provide instant glow and fairness, it doesn’t stay.

A simple skincare routine can provide both safe and long-lasting results. A good skin care routine includes

  • Cleansing – removing dust, dirt, and oil from the skin
  • Exfoliation – scrubbing off the accumulated dead skin
  • Toning – Shrinking the open sores and evening out the tone
  • Mask – to lighten and tighten the skin
  • Moisturizing – To nourish and lock moisture in the skin cells

Below, we have included different ingredients, procedures and DIY skin whitening home remedies you can follow and create your own skincare routine. Here is how to whiten the skin and bring your youthful glow back:

  28. Hi,

I tried all of the above and I’m hoping to see changes in few weeks time. Just a small query though, gram flour mixed with milk and turmeric didn’t feel like an exfoliator because as per my understanding, an exfoliator should be like a scrub to remove the dead cells but the paste was really smooth. Rice flour mixture was more like an exfoliating agent.

Please correct me if I am wrong and also if there is some modification to be made, let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Though the mixture looks like a paste, gram flour can exfoliate the dead skin cells and absorb the excess oil from the skin. If you are comfortable with rice flour, then you can use the same.

  47. Is it correct to state that we should cleanse, tone and moisturize 2 times daily, and we should exfoliate and use a mask 2-3 times per week?
