Oolong Tea for Weight LossOolong tea (wu-long tea or brown tea) comes from the camellia sinensis plant. Oolong tea is recognized as one of the best DIY home remedies for weight loss that decreases body fat and speeds up metabolism and blocks fat building enzymes. It also helps to keep the pounds off once you lost them. Not only that, but the tea helps to build a healthy immune system with other health benefits.

Despite this, she managed to raise a family of healthy kids, and my goal here at Home Remedies for Life is to pass on some of her knowledge of natural remedies.

I heard about oolong tea and I decided to try it, because I heard that it works better than diet pills. And you know what, it really works. I was taking coffee bean pills and I was not loosing weight I tried other pills and nothing, I tried diets, exercise and nothing has worked as the oolong tea I feel now lighter my tummy has gone down a little bit has i have more energy than ever before. When I do my exercise i dont have to drag myself as I use to so one thing I notices if I dont take my tea and I exercise I dont have the same energy I have to cut my exercise but if I drink my tea I could keep going with my exercise for an extra hour and even more and another benefit about this tea is that it has helped me with my cravings I love deserts cake, muffings, cheese cake, cookies, doughnuts and I have been off from those things I think about those things though but I dont get the crazy cravings I use to get that I had to have it. I am so proud of myself I hope it continues helping me.

I feel the same as Tina. I have serious sugar craving, but with oolong tea it has changed things for me. I don’t have the cravings as bad. Before I just had to have them no matter what. But with the tea I have more energy, I actually crave the tea and its effect lol. I have 2 cups a day, and have only been on it for a week now. I do notice the mental clarity as well. Seems that there are many great benefits with this tea and I have seen a lot of them. As for the weight loss for this first week I have lost 13 pounds, but I am on a diet as well. The only difference is I have never lost this much in one week, even with the normal fluid loss in the first week has never been that much. SO I would like to think that oolong has helped with this as well.

2 10 oz cups of oolong tea for me and a low carb diet have been the combination I have been looking for. Down almost 50 pounds and 52 inches. I have been at the low carb almost a year. I added in the tea a couple months ago. It keeps the sweets cravings at bay and has helped me be able to bypass all the sweets these thoughtful nurses bring in on a daily basis. It’s a wonderful tea.

I recently came back from China at the end of September. Throughout my entire trip I was very nervous that I was going to gain weight because I was eating a LOT of food. My Chinese co workers pressured me to keep eating even though I was full at all meals and the food was extremely oily – please note that I gain weight EXTREMELY easily, I swear it used to be if I simply smelled pizza I would gain 3 pounds. Low and behold, at the end of two weeks my shorts actually fit LOOSER. But I had been eating a ton of oily foods during my stay compared to a way healthier diet I had back in the states? Why was I losing weight even though my diet was worse? It didn’t add up. Then I realized I was drinking tea with many of my meals in China on a daily basis, and one of my co workers mentioned that one of the teas, oolong, is known for weight loss. I was sold. When I came back to the states I bought 2 boxes of dark oolong tea from the local Asian market and maintained a reasonable diet while still at the same time eating what I wanted from time to time and I have maintained my weight. Everyone’s body is different but oolong is DEFINITELY a life saver for me. I no longer have to obsessively count calories in order to avoid gaining weight, I have somewhat of a normal metabolism now! I drink it 2-4 times a day.

Hi I have just had a baby and wanted to loose pregnancy weight . I started drinking Foojoy Oolong tea (brown Box)
for 4 weeks now and I am extremely disappointed as I have not lost a single lb of weight.

I eat less and don’t snack and drink 3 or 4 cps per day.. so I am surprised that I have not lost any weight what so ever. What could be the reason for this? especially as lots of people claim that the foojoy oolong brand is the best.

Is it possible that tea bags don;t work as good as the loose oolong tea?

I am hypothyroid and take Levothyroxine, but I thought this tea would help speed up my metabolism but it has not and I still feel tired and exhausted.

Can you offer some advice? I just want to loose the baby weight and have more energy to look after 2 babies.

    Thanks

Apart from drinking oolong tea, you have exercise daily and eat nutrition rich food. Instead of eating 3 large meals, you have to eat 6 meals a day in small quantities. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Include fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily routine. Reduce the amount of oil, processed and fatty foods. Try to incorporate at least one green leaf vegetable in your daily diet.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TWICE DAILY.

You have to drink the oolong once in the morning on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up. It is difficult to tell the exact time frame as it depends on your fat burning capacity, food habits and lifestyle. No, it is better to avoid artificial sweeteners when you are thinking of weight loss.

I am taking Nature-Thyroid for hypothyroidism and was wondering if you knew if oolong tea would interact with it?

Buy an organic green or black oolong tea for effective results. For bleeding and receding gums try any process mentioned in this article – http://homeremediesforlife.com/receeding-gums/

      1) Yes, you can add ginger to oolong tea. However, if you are on blood thinning medications then you should avoid ginger and oolong combination.
      2) It depends on your interest and preference. Usually, we recommend to avoid taking other caffeinated drinks along with oolong tea as it can lead to some side effects like anxiety, restlessness, difficulty in sleeping, excessive urination, diarrhea and others.
      3) Actually, all the foods are the safe to eat while consuming oolong tea. Ginger, clove, cinnamon are few natural ingredients you can brew along with oolong tea. However, if you are on any medications or supplements then it is better to consult a physicist before taking oolong tea alone or with any other ingredient.

As per Maryland Medical Center, drinking large amounts of tea can cause abdominal spasms, vomiting, headaches and loss of appetite. As per drugs.com, drinking oolong tea for a longer period of time can cause iron deficiency. For oolong tea recipe, read 1st method mentioned in the above article. Yes, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar into the oolong tea.

You can drink a cup of oolong tea daily. Slowly, you can increase it to 2 cups a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon)
