Vulvar Itching Home Remedies – 14 Ways to Soothe Feminine Private Part Discomfort

Why is My Vagina Itchy and Burning?

Vaginal irritation is one of the most uncomfortable situations faced by women at least once in their lifetime. Itching or irritation around the vagina can be caused due to bacteria or yeast infections, menopause, STD’s or chemical irritants. It is also common for women to notice that their vagina is itchy after sex. A weak immune system and excessive stress can increase the chances of suffering these symptoms.

Some women may also experience redness, swelling and discharge. To deal with common ailment one has to maintain proper hygiene and follow a healthy diet. Additionally, you can follow simple home remedies for itching in your private parts to get relief from the symptoms.

Home Remedies for Vaginal Itching and Burning

We have mentioned the most effective methods which provide soothing relief from vaginal itching. Try any of the following itching vagina home remedies per your preference.

Apple cider vinegar balances the pH levels of the vagina which creates an inhospitable environment for yeast growth. It also contains antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water.
  • Bath normally with mild soap and water.
  • Now, rinse your vagina with the ACV solution.
  • Repeat the process 2 times in a day.

For added benefits: Add 1 tablespoons of ACV and 1 teaspoon of honey to a glass of water and drink it 2 times in a day.

  • Add 1/2 cup of salt to your bathtub filled with lukewarm water.
  • Sit in a squatting position in the water for 15 minutes.
  • Bath normally and pat dry completely.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times in a day.

For Instant Relief: Add 1 tablespoon of salt to a glass of water and rinse your vagina with this solution.

Caution: Avoid using salt methods, if you have cuts, bruises or open sores.

Despite this, she managed to raise a family of healthy kids, and my goal here at Home Remedies for Life is to pass on some of her knowledge of natural remedies.

Yes, there is a difference in their mineral composition. Epsom salt is a mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. And sea salt is 97% of sodium chloride. Epsom salt is not recommended for eating while sea salt is edible and great for cooking. Epsom salt is great for soaks and baths.

I treated myself using product called Moose Joose lubricant. Put in fridge to chill in day, used all over skin upto pubic hair line. After 3 weeks of being calmer at night, swapped to Savlon for a week to clear any possibility of anything. Returned to moose joose everynight afterwards and am fine. When I stopped the moose joose I got the odd itch so have just stick with moose joose nightly, I see it as adding moisturiser to the end that is opposite to my face – and why not, skin is skin and often dries out due to detergent , clothing, swimming, sweating from the gym, even anything, so being kind to skin in the lady area made sense to me and worked. Hardly anyone would think of using it like this because it is a sex lubricant, but then that might explain why my body is ok with that area being smothered in it, it just feels right especially when chilled.
